Did you really think I was going to be offering you something different than all those other non-sustainable diets out there?
I hope not! By now you know me enough to know that offering you a plan in order to get slim and me telling you not to get fat over the holidays, is actually something I ONLY DID because I wanted to mimic the conversations that are occurring within your mind. That conversation I know wayyyyyyy to well as I lived inside of that way of thinking for wayyyyyyy to many years.
So I have a few questions for you before we continue:
(1)What made you want to read this blog entry?
(2)What was it about this title that made your mind go, “Oh yes I need this?!”
(3)What in your mind is a “slim plan” anyways?
So here’s the deal. Christmas is less than two weeks away and News Years is soon after. I know for myself in times like this there was a constant battle going on in my mind and it sounded like this.
“Don’t gain weight over the holidays” versus
“Well who cares I will just start fresh on January 1st”
If you are anything like how I used to be this was a yearly tradition. I knew the holiday consisted of a time where food was going to be presented to me from every corner, so I just figured, “What’s the point of starting to watch what I eat now? Why don’t I just start fresh in the new year. Until then I might as well eat everything I can because starting in the new year I will not be allowed.”
Let’s be real, how many of you are waiting for January 1st to “start fresh?”
HOW MANY OF YOU WANTED THIS “SLIM PLAN” TO START 2014 OFF “PROPERLY?”
This way of thinking might surface in other areas of your life that are not even related to weight or food, but business ventures, relationships or hobbies. I want to ask you:
(1)What is going to be SO different in 2014?
(2)Why is this year going to be the year when things are different for you?
(3)Why are you not able to use this way of thinking that puts you in a motivated inspired place today?
Oh that’s right because it doesn’t fit with our “perfectly planned rules”, rules that have been conditioned year after year within out minds.
Rules that quite frankly I believe are a crack of shit.
Again, I know this because I lived it for over 10 years and I don’t want that for you!
For those of you that can relate entirely to what I just said, or even partially, I want to encourage you to STOP!
Don’t spend the next 2 weeks binge eating and then “start fresh” on the 1st of January! That NEVER works!
You want to know what the “slim plan” !?! Well here it is –
IT’S A PLAN THAT ENCOURAGES YOU TO STOP LISTING TO THE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD.
The voice filled with rules, lies, ultimatums and pure bullshit that only keeps you feeling worse about yourself day-in and day-out.
THIS ISN’T ABOUT BECOMING “SLIM” PEOPLE
– THIS IS ABOUT LEARNING HOW TO DO WHAT IS TRULY BEST FOR YOU AND THAT IS IN ALIGNMENT WITH YOUR GOALS FOR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!
So write out what you want and write out what your mind is telling you to do.
I encourage you to listen to the voice that is in alignment with what you REALLY want and to tell that other voice to shut it because YOU DON’T CHOOSE THAT WAY OF THINKING ANYMORE!!!
