Our Deepest Fear…

We all have fears inside of us and often time we think it is failure that we are really scared of.

The truth is, it is our own greatness and our power that actually frightens us to our core. To be different, to stand out, to make a movement, that’s often the scariest thing.

This week, I challenge you to dig deeper and ask yourself what it is that you really want to be doing in the world and why you are not doing it. What is stopping you?

There is always a way to figure out how to do what you REALLY want to do, we just need to get one person out of the way.

That person is our egos surrounded with fear, who lives inside of ourselves. Tell your ego to take a back seat and YOU take a step forward in living the life you want to truly be living.

 

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Just Breathe…

Our lives are filled with so many thing that affect us:
family, friends, relationships, work, hobbies, shopping, cooking, cleaning, taking vacations, taking the dog out for a walk and so much more!

Often times we can get overwhelmed by everything that we feel we have to do to get it all done.
We can also get so caught up in everything that “has” to get done in the next week, month or even year that we can become completely disconnected from the present moment at hand.

Learning how to use your breathing as a technique to help you connect with each moment and see it for what it is has multiple positive benefits, affecting you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

This week I challenge you to tune within and connect with your breathe consciously for at least 15 minutes a day and see the positive changes it does for your life!

Be Careful What You Wish For…Because It WILL Come True!

write a bookI cannot start this weeks blog without commenting on the fact that I just signed my very first book contract with a publisher! Writing a book has been something I have been dreaming about, thinking about, talking about and believing would happen one day, for almost four years! Can’t believe it’s finally come true!

The reason I wanted to share this, besides because of excitement, is to talk about something that affects each and every one of our lives, even if we don’t realize it. This is “The Law of Attraction.”

I am sure most of you have heard about this “law” before, but if you haven’t here is a very quick definition, “You attract what you think most about.” Now I know there are certain life circumstances that people have a hard time understanding why they would want to attract those instance into their lives. Rather than focusing on those negative instances from your past, which from my understanding has a lot to do with deep seated beliefs that people may not even be conscious of, I want to focus on what you can do right NOW to shift your energy and thinking around TODAY.

Step One: Write Out What You Wish You Could Have In Your Life
*you do not need to know how whatever you want is going to happen, all you have to do is write it out

Step Two: Believe That What You Wrote Down Will Happen
*again you don’t need to know how this is going to happen, you just need to hold the belief that it will

Step Three: Talk About It, Write More About It, Dream About, Put Pictures About It Around You, Set Goals Around It
*the more you focus on what you want and talk as if it is going to happen by using terms such as…..
“When such and such happens..” versus “If such and such happens…” and “I am…” versus “I will…” you begin to proclaim to the universe and your sub-conscious mind (which is your ticket to making things become a reality) that this is what you want and will be doing one day soon
*again you don’t have to know how, you just need to believe
*I know this may seem silly and uncomfortable at first, but the more you do it the less weird it feels, I promise!
Start with something small and try to attract that to you. Once you see this working with little things try for something bigger!

Step 4: Take Action When The Universe Presents You With What You Asked For
*often times when we receive what it is that we asked for FEAR, otherwise known as our EGO, takes over and tries to talk us out of taking it. What comes to you at that time, may seem coincidental, but the truth is you asked for it by doing Steps 1-3 above, so the universe listened and gave it to you just like you requested
*it is now your responsibility to take action and accept the gift that you asked for even when/if FEAR is trying to hold you back.

My ego certainly spoke up for me when I was thinking about signing with this publisher.
It stated things such as:
What if no one buys the books? What if the book sucks? What if you loose a lot of money in the process? What if this is all a waste of time? What if…What if…What if….otherwise known as…Fear…Fear..Fear

We do have a choice in this matter though:
Allow fear to control us or our dreams and desires to….the choice is yours!

This week I want to challenge you to focus on one small thing that you want to attract in your life.
Maybe its a free cup of coffee or a parking spot available when you go to the mall. Start small.
I also want to challenge you to follow the 4 steps above and write out something that is a CRAZY WILD DREAM of yours, that when it one day happens you’ll know you were part of the process of attracting it purposely!

Don’t Worry Be Happy

Often times our worries and fears can take over our lives, block us from doing what it is we really want to do and keep us stuck. The truth of the matter is if we can just get to a happy place with ourselves and our lives through being grateful for what we have, rather than focus on what we don’t have, our life can be a much greater experience!

This week I want to challenge you to take these simple words, “Don’t Worry and Be Happy” and remind yourself of this, I know I will!
