Spring to Life! (7 ways to start this season off right)

Spring is a time for change and growth. Here are some suggestions for ‘spring cleaning’ your body, mind and soul:

1. Clean up your diet. This can be as simple as cutting out sugar and processed foods, or just incorporating more water, vegetables and wholesome organic meals into your diet.

2. Get outside daily. Take a walk in the fresh air and get the oxygen flowing. If you are feeling motivated, take your exercise routine outdoors and get moving!

3. De-clutter your mind. Starting with a 5-10 minute meditation in the morning can really help to get you feeling present, focused and positive for the day. Release the past and start living right now.

4. Simplify your closet. Go through your clothes and items around the house that you don’t use anymore and put together a donation bag. (Here’s a hint: If you haven’t used it in over a year, it’s likely time to toss it!) Letting go of materials you don’t need energetically creates space for new things in your life.

5. Scrub down your home. There’s a reason ‘spring cleaning’ is so popular. Living in a toxin-free home not only makes you feel fresh, but it can reduce the occurrence of illness and allergies. 6. Grow something. Whether it’s a small pot of flowers or an entire vegetable garden, put energy toward new growth around your home.

7. Practice forgiveness. And that includes forgiving yourself. Holding onto anger and resentment will cause more harm to you than anyone else. Spring is a time for a fresh start so try to forgive someone in your life (even if it’s silently in your own head) and notice how light you feel afterward : )
