Are You A “To Do” List Maker? Always Busy? Then read this.

Hey there!

Are you constantly busy?

Feeling like you have countless things to do?

I have a question for you.

Are ANY OF THESE things what you REALLY want to be doing?

Or are they things you just keep adding to your plate, so it gives you the excuse to avoid and run away from what it is that you REALLY want right now in your life?

You know why I ask this, because this has been my life – pretty much my whole life!

I was always the busy girl with countless things to do.

I was involved in everything and helped everyone and had a hard time saying no.

Truthfully, I didn’t want to say no.

Up until my early 20s I HATED BEING ALONE & DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO TAKE REAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY WANTS AND NEEDS.

So it made sense to always fill my calendar with things to do. That way I never had the real chance to sit down and figure out myself or what I really wanted from my life.

Having a list of things to do, also made me feel, like I had some sort of purpose, like I meant something. Like I was something important.may 23rd pic

I would turn to food as a way to deal with these feelings of being overwhelmed and I had too much to handle.

But looking back I see things differently (don’t we always when we take a step back and look into our pasts!), I could see that I was simply avoiding myself, and my REAL dreams and desires.

Looking back I can also see that I was turning to food as a way to further disconnect from my AUTHENTIC SELF; the part of me which I wasn’t serving, as I was constantly running away from my real wants, dreams and desires, by having other things to do.

I DON’T WANT THIS FOR YOU!

Last week I spoke to you about cleaning up your life and performing a “healthy purge” to de-clutter your inner and outer world – with the INTENTION of allowing yourself to remove everything around you that is really stopping you from taking the action steps for whatever it is that you really want to focus your life on right now.

Some ideas that you could really want to be focusing your life on could be…

(1)focusing on healing your relationship with your body

(2)transforming your relationship with food

(3)learning how to truly love and accept yourself just as you are

(4)having that career you have always wanted

(5)saving money for a future vacation

So this is pretty straight forward.

(1)Write down the things you REALLY want to be doing, if fear wasn’t in your space.

*Doing these things isn’t as easy I understand, but first knowing what they are is important.

(2)Then the next time you go and schedule yourself to “do” something else, ask yourself, “Why am I doing this? What intention is behind this coffee/movie date? Why am I really going out again tonight? Do I need to be spending this money on those clothes today?”

*Dig deeper to find out what’s actually going on inside of you.

Dig deeper by asking yourself these hard questions and begin to examine yourself and your life.

Learning about you, your automatic thought processes, and your behaviours which stem from those thoughts, are the keys in turning your life around and not continually putting food or countless things to do in front of what you really want!

This entry wasn’t meant to solve anything for you, but rather get you to begin to do the work to solve these answers for yourself.
